The City of Alvarado Department of Animal Care & Control would like to take this moment to thank each and every person who has adopted a pet from an animal shelter-you have made all the difference in the world to the pet you now call your own.

When an animal leaves our shelter, the new owner has a wonderful new companion and our shelter has one more space for another animal that needs our help. Animal adoption is the responsible choice to save money, valuable taxpayer resources and animal lives.
